The”Aldo” Vase, like the previous “Baby” fruit-holder (2011), is made of porcelain with a double casting technology that produces an outer surface of a different color from the inner one. The outside is riddled with little holes, revealing the different color inside. The top part of the vase has been pressed, to form two differently sized holes, revealing the different color inside. “The plates in bone china, the glassware in crystalline glass, and the Flatware with plastic handle of the “All-Time” tableware are characterized by flowing shapes which are typical and very close to the designer’s heart. The objects seem to be smoothed all over, and their gentle shape is free of any visible harshness.”

I felt this custom, that’s now so popular, needed it’s own equipment so I designed some little multi- purpose containers and a wooden board for the canapes, arranged on a steel stand (to make them easier to serve), along with suitably sized bowls for olives, peanuts and crisps. The family is completed with three inventions: a free standing toothpick holder that can also fit into the olive bowl, a spoon with a special hollow that’s perfect for picking up peanuts, and a steel container with it’s own cover for holding the waste bits and hiding them from sight.” — Giulio Iachetti

Odor remover soap in 18/10 stainless steel, mat. It is a useful object for the person, a handy addition to the Alessi Encyclopaedia, this “Savon du Chef” was designed by the young Fred Gooris with the advice of Fabrice Leclerc. Just rub the steel “soap” between your hands under cold running water for a few seconds and you’ll have soft, odourless skin. “Savon du Chef” also acts as a nail-cleaner: the top part, smooth and not sharp, removes food residue without any risk of getting cut or of hurt.
